Another perspective on Canada 150

It’s always important to look at both sides of a story, especially when it comes to a topic as important as our country’s history.

Canada 150 has attracted many reactions, and while it’s easy to get lost in the excitement surrounding the festivities, many community members are stepping back from celebrations and are asking themselves, “What are we really celebrating?”

The topic has been discussed by national news outlets and by many people locally.

I sat down with Michael Champagne (@northendmc), founder of the Aboriginal Youth Opportunities (AYO) Movement, and host of Inner City Voices, to learn about his perspective on Canada 150.
