Manyfest attracts thousands with varied offerings

Approximately 70,000 people enjoyed the hot summer weather and a wide range of activities this past weekend at Manyfest in downtown Winnipeg.

The friendly war at Manyfest: business was cooking at Hot Rod’s Filipino Grill and Memorial Boulevard was chock-a-block with food trucks of every persuasion-and line-ups. For the third year in a row, KYU Grill took home the people’s choice award. /PHOTO: Greg Petzold

Books on wheels: the Winnipeg Public Library’s Book Bike was “peddling” books at Manyfest’s Ciclovia. The Book Bike launched for Bike Week 2016 and has been sharing books and library information ever since, weather permitting. You just can’t pay your fines here. /PHOTO: Greg Petzold

On Broadway: the folk duo Nation of Two sang in the sun at Manyfest. Nation of Two is made up of Winnipegger Jessee Havey and Nathaniel Good from West Virginia. /PHOTO: Greg Petzold

Three heads are better than one: W.R.E.N.C.H. was only one of several bike groups at Ciclovia on Broadway. W.R.E.N.C.H. is a non-profit dedicated to promoting bike use and their building, repair and maintenance. /PHOTO: Greg Petzold
