With today being World Kidney Day, we remember a great Manitoban, Dr. Ashley Thomson (1921-2013), known around the world for his work in kidney health.
The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch is the local branch of the national health charity committed to kidney health and improved lives for all people living with kidney disease. The Foundation provides programs and services to those affected by kidney disease, raises awareness of the major causes and ways to prevent kidney disease, and funds research to improve treatment. The Foundation is determined to break through the barriers around Kidney Disease.
It is with both sadness and fond memories that The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Manitoba Branch, remembers Dr. Ashley Thomson (1921-2013), known by many as the “Father of Nephrology” in Manitoba.
