What a difference a year makes!
This past weekend, the 28th Annual Brandon Folk Music and Art Festival, rebounded nicely from last year’s rain soaked event, to present one of their best line ups ever, in near perfect weather, to the delight of large crowds on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The main stage featured some of the best musical acts in Canada along with a second workshop stage, a young performers program, a community play, spoken word segments, an artisan’s village, a kids area and much more.
The Brandon Folk Festival is an intimate and relaxing event that attracts many patrons from across the prairies who love to attend folk festivals but prefer smaller crowds and like to avoid the mammoth nature of other similar kinds of events.
Headliners this year included Jane Siberry, Judy Collins, Great Lake Swimmers, Kinnie Starr, Geoff Berner, Nathan, The Crooked Brothers, Sebastian Owl, Dead Stringers, Little House and many others.
