The Manitoba Country Music Association (MCMA) along with Dauphin’s Countryfest is proud to present the 2016 Manitoba Country Music Awards on Thu. Nov. 10, 2016 at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre by Canad Inns (281 Donald St. Winnipeg, MB) hosted by QX 104’s Leanne Cater.
The night of celebration will begin with a pre-show reception at 6:30 p.m., featuring live acoustic entertainment and sparkling wine courtesy of Manitoba Liquor Marts.
During the Awards show, which gets underway at 7:30 p.m., there will be 11 performances and 18 awards handed out including a NEW Fans’ Choice Award.
Attendees are also encouraged to take advantage of the post-show party and enjoy the acoustic jam session and industry networking.
Tickets are $25 plus service fee.
“We moved to a bigger venue this year, we have more performers, and a new award, the association is growing as the talent in this province does,” said Kerry Kingsland, President of the MCMA Board. “We want to give Manitoba a chance to celebrate country music and industry to network.”
MCMA’s Board of Directors voted on three awards which they are thrilled to announce for the first time: Manitoba Talent Development Award, Manitoba Music Impact Award – Kevin Walters, and Hall of Fame Inductee – Betty Thorsteinson.

MCMA will commend Manitoba’s song writing talent by hosting Songwriters in the Round Series on Nov. 8, 2016, at Nashville’s (826 Regent Ave. West at Plessis) which will feature many nominated artists. The evening will be hosted by Karen Black of Country 107.7 and Jason Petric.
