Manitoba’s only blogging conference features many guests, including Winnipeg-based business strategist and marketing consultant Kyla Roma.
Blogging isn’t as easy as it used to be. Once upon a time, all a tech-savvy guy or gal had to do was register a blog on a hosting website, start writing, and wait for their readers to flock to their content.
Nowadays things aren’t so simple, and expectations around the way posts are structured, to what bloggers should talk about, to how they find, research, and share their ideas have changed drastically.
MBlog 2016, presented by New Media Manitoba in partnership with the Women’s Enterprise Centre of Manitoba and the World Trade Centre Winnipeg, is a conference dedicated to helping everyone from a first-time blogger to a seasoned copywriter determine the best kind of content for their audience and create engaging and helpful content that allows them to spread the word about their brand and build their community.
This year’s conference will feature a live workshop with Winnipeg-based business strategist and marketing consultant Kyla Roma, who has worked with hundreds of businesses developing marketing strategies to help take their business to the next level.
Following Roma’s presentation will be a Peer-to-Peer Cafe, which will help attendees connect with each other and share skills, stories, knowledge and expertise in an effort to answer each other’s content queries.
How Does Attending MBlog 2016 Benefit You?
MBlog isn’t just Manitoba’s only blogging conference, it’s also an opportunity for like-minded men and women, from the newbie blogger to the seasoned pro, to come together in a fun, relaxed, and educational setting and learn tools and processes to build their blog readership through a comprehensive content strategy.
The first half of the day will be an interactive workshop led by Kyla Roma, who will teach MBlog attendees tips, tricks, and techniques to determine the kind of content their audience and communities want to read.
Not only will they learn how to determine the kind of topics and ideas that resonate with their audience and customer base, but they will also learn strategies to help make their posts stand out from the crowd across a variety of social media platforms.
The second half of the day will be dedicated to a Peer-to-Peer Cafe, which will allow participants to network, ask questions, and share insight and expertise with each other. During this session tables will be broken into themes such as “Building Your Community” and “Defining Your Ideal Reader” which participants can rotate between depending on their needs.
The Cafe is designed to help attendees pool their knowledge, make new connections, and learn from each other in order to make the best decisions for their blog strategy.
Participants will leave MBlog with the tools and skills to create valuable and engaging content, as well as super-simple brainstorming techniques and step-by-step methods to fill their editorial calendars with a year’s worth of content which will help them get noticed by their readers and connect with their communities.
