Think there’s nothing to do or see in Manitoba? Well, think again.
An article published by Travel Manitoba last fall has recently started gaining popularity once again, being shared by numerous students at the University of Manitoba and Manitobans throughout the province.
The piece lists 41 facts about Manitoba that’ll blow your mind, which also serves as reasons why you should be proud to call yourself a Manitoban.
From the Little Limestone Lake that changes colour with fluctuations in temperature, to the International Peace Garden, to Winnipeg boasting the longest skating trail in the world.
Did you know Manitoba also has more curling clubs than Ontario and Quebec combined, and we’re home to the world’s largest curling rock?
Winnipeg is also the Slurpee capital of the world, which I (personally) believe is a pretty important fact. One that Tourism Winnipeg and Travel Manitoba should use in advertisements.
Thanks, Breanne! Look’s like I’ll need to do some exploring this winter and next summer. #exploremb
