Great news this week for Winnipeg residents living in the Inkster area: the grand opening of NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre at 785 Keewaatin Street is on Tuesday, April 9, 2013.
NorWest Co-op Community Health Centre is the only healthcare co-operative in the Inkster area. The Centre is commited to working with individuals who access their programs, all neighborhood residents and other healthcare providers and their partners, offering a variety of programs and services.
The community based services and programs include Primary Heath Care, Community Development, Counselling and Support Services, and Early Learning and Childcare programs.
Eligible individuals throughout Winnipeg can access services in the areas of family violence, immigrant and refugee matters, substance abuse during pregnancy, nursing, foot care, youth services, aboriginal issues, and more.

For those Winnipeg residents who don’t have family doctors yet, now is the time to register as there are three physicians namely, Dr. Bushra Ashfaq, Dr. Naseer Warraich and Dr. Raphael Nepomuceno who are seeking new patients.
Counselling services as well as wellness programs are being offered to help residents who are experiencing depression, anxiety and other illnesses that need adequate attention.
