“I feel compelled to give back to the city that has given me so much,” says Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce’s Dave Angus.
Dave Angus likes to see a return on his investments, which is why he doesn’t just give back to the community – he gets involved.
“That’s important to me,” said Angus, the president and CEO of the Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce. “To be able to engage with the people and the individuals that are being helped by the organizations that I’m involved in.”
Angus considers giving to be an important principle for citizens.
“As a citizen, I feel compelled to give back to the city that has given me so much.”
Angus is one of several Winnipeggers featured on River City 360, a new audio segment featuring stories about people working to make Winnipeg the best it can be. River City 360 airs on CJNU 93.7 FM and Community News Commons.
This month, River City 360 is taking a closer look at giving by asking Winnipeggers from all walks of life what giving means to them. In this episode, Angus talks about what inspires him to give and how people can enhance their own experiences of giving.
River City 360 is brought to you by Community News Commons, a project of The Winnipeg Foundation.
