It’s at this time of year when many in our community turn their attention towards Siloam Mission and their ongoing efforts to alleviate the hardships of poverty and homelessness.
“We’re a connecting point between the compassionate and the less fortunate,” says Judy Richichi, Director of Major Gifts and Corporate Affairs at Siloam Mission.
The Mission’s 30-year history is a fascinating one, as is Richichi’s own journey from being a youth growing up on the streets under the child welfare system in the United States, to moving to Winnipeg and to eventually spearheading Siloam’s fundraising efforts.
In this engaging interview with the CKUW 95.9 FM program People of Interest, Richichi describes Siloam’s upcoming major capital campaign – Vision 500 – and offers up some insightful observations about the generosity of Winnipeggers.
