‘Tis the season for Sounds of The Season at the Millennium Library downtown. It’s the tenth year of this popular event which features different school choirs singing holiday favorites all this week.
The Resound Choir from Isaac Brock School performed and sang beautifully today. The 29 students from grades 2 through 9 performed five pieces under the direction of their music teacher, Nedra Francis.
Their voices rang out sweetly in Christmas is Coming and Dashing Through the Snow.
When it came to North Pole Elf, their teacher panned the first rendition as she didn’t think it reflected their abilities and yes, the second time was markedly more upbeat.
Thank you Resound Choir for an enjoyable noon hour concert.
You can catch four other school choirs tomorrow through Friday in the library foyer over the noon hour.
Frontenac School will be performing on Tuesday. Machray School brings their grade 3-6 choir on Wednesday. Fort Richmond Collegiate Band will have more of a big band sound on Thursday. And Arthur A. Leach School finishes the series with a performance on Friday.
