It’s time to relax, tip your head back and enjoy having your aura raked clean of the negative spirits that have been plaguing you.
Welcome to energy healing.
This week, Sam takes you inside a pranic healing class, a sub-genre of energy healing. She also shows you how healing isn’t just for humans.
Giving credit
There aren’t any public colleges in Winnipeg that offer energy healing as a credited, medical course, and The College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba doesn’t accept alternative healing hours as registered nursing practice hours.
According to a spokesperson from the College, that’s because there’s a lack of evidence to support energy healing.
There are, however, some private colleges across Canada offering energy healing courses. One interesting case is the private college in Vancouver, Langara College. It was criticized by the British Columbia Medical Association in 2009 for giving credits for students who learned energy healing — something that hasn’t been scientifically proven.
Despite the criticism, the college still offers energy healing today.
Energy healers are organized across the country into associations and organizations that offer credibility and a national community.
Still, the question remains: is energy healing real, or just a myth?
