It has been 70 years since the skies in many countries roared with the rumble of B-17 and B-25 bombers.
Today there are but a handful left around the world, and none quite as exquisite as our recent guests to Winnipeg, “Sentimental Journey” and “MAID in the SHADE”, which both date back to 1944.
For the past week, the Royal Western Aviation Museum has hosted these two vintage aircraft, part of the collection of the Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force.
Next stop is Brandon at the Commonwealth Air Training Plan Museum.
