Last week, I was at the annual Knight Media Learning Seminar (KMLS) attended by approximately 400 Knight Foundation grantees and representatives of community foundations from across North America.
It was an opportunity to find out more about the wide range of quality journalism and community information projects that are funded by Knight Foundation. The Winnipeg Foundation’s Community News Commons is one of those projects.
It was a motivating and inspiring conference where I was able to network with many other community foundation employees and journalists participating in the seminar. New ideas, new technology and new opportunities were evident throughout the KMLS.
