The Members Show and Holiday Carnival fundraiser at Martha Street Studio features a large variety of art prints along with fundraising ideas and entertainment to enjoy on Fri. Dec. 11, 7 – 10 pm at 11 Martha Street.

Oh yes! And what is a carnival without popcorn? Martha Street Studio’s elves will be hopping, or rather popping, as they have fun making popcorn all night long.
In speaking with co-director Larry Glawson, it’s apparent how much the folks at Martha Street Studio give to the community all year long. It is like Christmas every day for those who have the opportunity to come in contact with the staff who go above and beyond the call of duty to help each and every person who walks through their doors.
Glawson says this holiday event is a chance for people to give back and support a local organization that has shown how much they truly care about our community.
“We do programming projects with many organizations,” he says. “We have worked with Red Road Lodge in the past. We also have done a number of different programs with other various community organizations like Aboriginal Youth Opportunities (AYO), Ndinawe, Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization Manitoba (IRCOM), and we do ongoing youth programs with high schools, general youth, and inner city groups. We have done projects with Argyle School in the past and with Arts and Disability Network of Manitoba (ADNM) with the Making Our Mark (MOM) project,” Glawson adds.
Members are giving back by donating 50% to 100% of their sales to Martha Street Studio. This is a great time to support your local artists, help Martha Street Studio raise some funds, get some great gifts for yourself and friends or family for the holiday season…or just because.
The event is free of charge, with plenty of food and refreshments. The corn will be a popping as you keep the Martha Street Studio gang a hopping.
If you can’t make it for opening night, the exhibition runs from Dec. 11 to 22. Check out Martha Street Studio for hours of operation.
