A van traveling north on the Perimeter Highway seemed to miss Exit 42A to Portage Avenue East leaving the off ramp, hurtling through the grass and rolling over a few times.
A witness said one or more people were thrown from the van.
Many emergency vehicles responded to the accident shortly before midnight Sunday evening.
Exit 318A off Portage Ave. to the Perimeter Highway south was lined up with police cars, fire engines and ambulances.
The field where the van ended up on its roof was illuminated with lights from a fire truck as firefighters worked for about 30 minutes before removing a person from the vehicle.
The highway and field were wet from rain showers shortly before the accident.
Injuries were certain however no fatalities were reported. The accident is under investigation.
