Six of Winnipeg’s seven mayoral candidates debated environmental issues facing the city, including mitigating climate change, protecting green space, reducing waste, rapid transit and containing urban sprawl.
The two-hour forum was sponsored by Green Action Centre, Manitoba Eco-Network, the Green Action Committee of the First Unitarian-Universalist Church and Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives.
Richard Cloutier, News Director at CJOB 680 moderated. The candidates who participated were Brian Bowman, Michel Fillion, Paula Havixbeck, Robert-Falcon Ouellette, David Sanders and Judy Wasylycia-Leis.
The forum was held at the First Unitarian-Universalist Church on Wellington Crescent. Here is my video report.
