What is important to young Winnipeggers? The Winnipeg Foundation wants to hear about it.
Youth Vital Signs Survey is an initiative that grades areas of importance identified by young people in Winnipeg (ages 14-29) and generates a ‘report card’ based on survey results.
This spring, young people across Winnipeg will take the survey to share their knowledge and experience, and illustrate how they feel about the city. The survey asks questions in specific areas that relate directly to the younger population.
You can take or share the survey here.
Completing the survey takes approximately 10 to 20 minutes to complete, depending on how much participants want to share. All information is kept confidential.
The ideas voiced are intended to help decision makers improve Winnipeg. The survey will result in a publication of compiled results (October 2014) that will be useful across the community.
Keeping the environment and ease of data collection in mind, Youth Vital Signs Winnipeg is encouraging people to complete the survey online at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/yvswpg but paper copies of it can be obtained from The Winnipeg Foundation.
The Youth Vital Signs Survey has its own website, Twitter hashtag #yvswpg and Facebook page.
The Foundation is hoping this effort will encourage more voices to be heard by having young people share the online survey across their social networks, and also by filling out the survey themselves.
Anyone interested in this survey can contact The Winnipeg Foundation by emailing youthvitalsigns@wpgfdn.org.
