Holding Power to Account, the investigative journalism conference recently held in Winnipeg, attracted journalists and members of the public from all over the world.
Keynote Speakers at this large three day event featured many well known investigative reporters. One of the topics of discussion was how some governments lie.
The conference was sponsored by CBC Manitoba and the University of Winnipeg.
Curt Petrovich, National Reporter for CBC, and Glen Moulaison, Dean of Arts at the UofW, were both in attendance, and are featured in this audio report.

I am Julien Cooper. Let's talk electronics.
I advocate strongly in the sharing of existing resources such as electronic devices, for both personal and citizen journalistic uses. I call it 'Useful recycling we can use again' as in goods not broken down and then re-manufactured.
I also offer free of charge the simple repairs and returns of electronics and free collections of electronics to re-purpose for new users. I hope one day we will have a fully established technical repair shop available to create an inner-city repair and exchange shop which the public can use as a makerspace or to receive or offer services in, which can include designing new inventions with or without peer help and having a public trade-in or exchange depot.
