Winnipeg People’s Social Forum is interested in labour, poverty, pipelines, Indigenous matters and much more. The grassroots initiative is aimed at bringing concrete change and social justice to our communities.
The group of like-minded individuals want to have an accountable government and to stop government when it is headed in the wrong direction.
Earlier this month, several hundred people came together at the University of Winnipeg for a series of workshops organized by Winnipeg People’s Social Forum. The sessions focused on several critical issues facing Canadians.
An audio report of the event was prepared by Paul Graham, Julien Cooper and CKUW’s Victoria King. The Keewatin Otchitchak Traditional Women Drum Group provided the music and the University of Winnipeg Students’ Association hosted the event.
