This summer, Jonathan Toews brought the Stanley Cup home to Winnipeg for the third time in six years.

Over ten weeks, 341 people “Joined Jonathan” with gifts of all sizes, raising a total of $644,000.The Fund will help provide healthy food and nutrition education for Winnipeg kids forever.

Toews gets a taste of Nourishing Potential
In July, Jonathan Toews met with staff of a number of organizations that have received support from the Fund. He visited Winnipeg Aboriginal Sport Achievement Centre (WASAC), where a Nourishing Potential grant provided healthy snacks for the 1,000 kids who attended its summer day camp program this year.

Healthy food in action
Nourishing Potential is helping kids across the city eat better, learn to make healthy choices and gain hands-on skills in food preparation. Already, the fund has made more than 140 grants, totaling $885,000. Here are some examples.
