Now that Canada’s new anti-terrorism legislation has been passed by Parliament, Bill C-51 is coming under fire from many different groups.
Some of the voices expressing opposition to this Bill include environmental groups, the National Firearms Association, Canada’s Privacy Commissioner, people of the Muslim faith, plus many other individuals and constituencies.
Recently, CKUW 95.9 FM canvassed some of those opinions by interviewing Ihsaan Gardee, Executive Director of the National Council of Canadian Muslims, constitutional lawyer Rocco Galati, and local politician Robert-Falcon Ouellette.
