According to many scientists, climate change is real and it’s happening. They warn if we don’t get a handle on carbon emissions, it will spell disaster for Canadians and for people all over the world.
Yet, there is still climate change denial which impacts our ability and willingness to deal with it.
So, what are the reasons so many people aren’t taking this problem seriously?
Those are the questions asked by Professor of Geography, Dr. Danny Blair, during a presentation at a TedX conference held last week at the University of Winnipeg.
CKUW 95.9 FM program People of Interest explored this subject with Dr. Blair and with Clayton Thomas-Muller, campaigner with 350.org, an international campaign aimed at pushing world leaders to reduce impacts of climate change.
